..:: The New One Ain’t Got Nothing On The Ex ::..

4930d48a67b1c

I can’t be the only one this has happened to. Have you ever found yourself in the middle of terrible sex and couldn’t stop thinking about awesomeness of last person you slept with? Well I have. I often want to stop in mid stride, put my clothes on and leave or kick her out, but I don’t. Sometimes I even go soft or just spend the rest of the time laying some half flaccid pipe. Here are some reasons this person is cant match up to the last and methods to deal with a terrible new partner.

Close your eyes:

  • Most times sex is at least good as masturbation at least for me it is. So I simply close my eyes and pretend I’m giving it rihanna, Lindsay Lohan or one of my Twitter followers or blog commenters.

Do something crazy:

  • When the sensasation of sexual feeling isn’t there I can be turned on by doing other things which can in itself make the sex better. So I’ll pull her hair, choke her or smack her rear end. Eventjough it’s hard to get into it because the feeling is terrible it seems to work at times.

Grin and bare it.

  • I don’t want to be evil or hurt any feelings so other times I just try to finish. I may even have to fake a nut in order to end a session.

What are some things that make sex terrible?

For me it’s smell, wetness, or I should say lack there of, no movement, and the feel.

— Trey Songz Fires Back At R-Kelly —

R. KellyR. Kelly via last.fm

Last week Trey Songz dropped one of the hottest R&B albums in a long time, selling around 115k his first week. Impressive numbers in a slumping market, coming second to only Whitney Houston. I had the chance to interview Trey about a bunch of topics, including R-Kelly, his alleged relationship with Necole Bitchie, his friendship with Drake and more.

In my last blog, on globalgrind recapping his concert at Canal Room, where Drake introduced him as “The Greatest R&B Singer of Our Generation”, I asked him about that moment and how it made him feel here is what he had to say:

TREY: “It made me feel great, Drakes my brother so he’s going to say that about me. I’ll do whatever it takes to make his words and to bring his words to life.”

Xilla: Do you feel like you’re the number 1 R&B singer?

TREY: I feel like it takes a lot to be the number 1 R&B singer. I mean I’m the number 1 R&B singer right now. I would say that as far as right now current times hottest artist right now in the moment, but I think it takes a lot of consistency it takes longevity and a lot more than what I’ve done in the past year… I’m not the greatest right now, I will say that, but I will be.

Trey has taken advantage of the changes made in the industry and he is well on his way to becoming one of the heavy weights in the game. Trey has used Twitter, Ustream & blogs to connect with his fans in a way many other’s cant, and humbly he knows he couldn’t have done that 2 or 3 years ago he explained to me.

He even has a song dedicated to twitter called “LOL Smiley Face” I asked him what’s the wildest twitpic he received

TREY “Man, I got a picture that’s so crazy! This girl was in the tub with like soap all over her. I don’t know what made her do that. She direct messaged it to me, but I can’t get with that too tough.”

Speaking of twitter, he sent out a tweet saying that blogger Necole B, was his favorite bitchie, along w/ a picture of the two of them hugged up. I asked him why is Necole his favorite bitchie.

TREY: “She’s a good girl, I actually remember Necole from when she was an intern at radio in Detroit. I used to come through and she used to be just this nice little girl. We were both at the beginning of our career and she’d bring water in for whoever needed water or do whatever the jock needed to do, and just to see her blossom and see the growth within myself . We have a good friendship and it’s nothing more than that.”

Xilla: Why do you think everyone keeps trying to pair the two of you up?

TREY: “Because that’s what the entertainment business thrives off and that’s what blogs are made of, controversy and rumors. So of course that’s going to happen when there are two successful people of the opposite sex pictured together, but it is what it is, this is the game we play so I understand the rules and I just make sure I tell the truth.”

We even spoke on R Kelly saying “If you’re a true king, you don’t get into challenges…you get to a status in life where you don’t ever have to throw another punch. What is an elephant supposed to do when an ant or a fly lands on you?”

Trey: “At this point I feel like R Kelly knows if he was to step in that arena with me he couldn’t PLAY with me as far as lyrically, word play or metaphorically in that arena after the way I came on death of Kellz. Kellz is older he’s an old man.”

TECH – How to be a better tweeter – Twitter

Realizing my last round of Twitter research left my Twitter followers wondering what was wrong with me, I thought it would be a good time to perform research that they actually valued. It wasn’t easy. My desire to add more followers, at all costs, consumes me.

But this time, I think I succeeded. Instead of trying to find ways to add more followers through dodgy practices, I’ve researched ways to add more value to Twitter and become a better tweeter.

The Sweet Retweet
Although it’s a relatively new practice, retweeting is an outstanding way to improve your standing on Twitter.

Has one of your followers updated their Twitter stream with an interesting article they found somewhere on the Web? If so, don’t just read the story and go about your day, retweet it! I’ve found that when I do so, most of my followers will do the same and in the process, some add my username to their own update, exposing me to their entire list of followers.

Not all articles are created equal, though, so you need to make sure that the message you’re retweeting is something your followers actually care about. I learned the hard way: it turns out my followers really don’t care about horseback riding in Moscow.

To retweet, the accepted practice is to copy the original text into your own Twitter post and prefix it with “RT” or “Retweet” and the originator’s name. For example: “RT @donreisinger: I resubscribed to the NY Post last week. Delivery was supposed to begin on Jan. 31. I have YET to receive a paper.”

Sorry, but no one cares about your dinner
There’s a common complaint, made especially by those who don’t like Twitter, that too many people use the service to tell the world about things no one cares about. Usually, I think that’s ridiculous. But sometimes, I find a few updates like that and realize that maybe those folks aren’t so far off.

Look, it’s nothing personal and believe it or not, I really care what you say, but I couldn’t care less about what you had for dinner last night or how delicious your chicken salad sandwich is. I’d much rather see it filled with retweets and other interesting tidbits of information that the vast majority of users actually care about.

You’re probably wondering how I know that it doesn’t make you a better Tweeter. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson not long ago. The hard way.

Reply. A lot.
I like to talk. I’ll even admit that I like to hear myself talk. As a Twitter user, that’s sort of a problem.

Believe it or not, followers actually want to believe that you’re listening to them. I know, I know, it’s not all that easy and sometimes it’s hard not to laugh at the dumb tweets, but you need to exercise restraint and realize that Twitter is a community where people want to have a conversation.

I had some trouble with that. And if you look at my recent updates, it seems I still do. But I’m getting better. I now realize that people on Twitter don’t want to just hear what others have to say, they want to be heard. And the best way to satisfy that desire is to reply to their interesting tweets.

Find interesting stuff and post
You know when I told you that you should retweet interesting updates you see in your stream? That’s lazy. You really need to be a proactive user. Go out and find neat articles and post them in your Twitter stream for others to enjoy. Maybe they’ll retweet your update and you will be exposed to a slew of new people who want to know all about you.

I did it on a few occasions and it worked beautifully. It turns out many of my followers really enjoy tech talk and discussions on sports. Whenever I find a good article on those topics, I post it on Twitter and more often than not, my followers retweet my update.

It’s OK to say nothing
Just because there’s a big box beneath a “What are you doing?” message in Twitter, it doesn’t mean that you need to say anything.

I’m not quite sure why we all get the urge to update as often as possible, but we need to realize that updates from scripts are a waste of everyone’s time.

Look, I’m really happy to hear about your life and what’s going on, but I don’t need to be inundated with items you’re adding to Google Reader or songs currently playing on your computer. Maybe someone cares, but when I see my stream being overrun with automatic updates, it annoys me. Don’t do it. Please.

Use hashtags
Have something interesting to say on a topic that’s hot on Twitter right now? Make sure you use hashtags — keywords preceded by the hash sign, “#”. Over the past few months, hashtags have become a great way for other users to find content quickly.

Hashtags basically create groupings on Twitter that combine content of the same topic. It sounds simple, but whenever you have something really interesting to say about a topic that’s hot on Twitter or Twitter Search, it doesn’t hurt to place a hashtag after your tweet. It helps others find your update that aren’t following you and exposes you to new people who might like what you have to say.

It’s more than text
Have you ever taken pictures and uploaded them to a service like Twitpic so you could post it in your Twitter stream? If you haven’t, your followers are missing out.

Sending pictures is a great way to add more value to Twitter and make you a better Tweeter. Let’s face it: who really wants to look at text all day? Your followers might actually like pictures better than your regular updates.

That’s why I’ve uploaded pictures from my wedding. It turns out my followers would rather see pictures of my wife than hear what I have to say.

And now, you’re a better Tweeter. You don’t have to thank me. Just follow me. Why not? You know what you’re getting: a user that retweets your interesting articles, won’t talk about his dinner, listens to you, finds interesting stuff for you, doesn’t spam you, uses hashtags, and uploads pictures.

TECH – Google Latitude keeps tabs on friends’ locations

Google Latitude

Just because the Internet has broken down geographic barriers, don’t assume that Google doesn’t care about geography.

The company plans to launch software called Latitude on Wednesday that lets mobile phone users share their location with close contacts. Google hopes it will help people find each other while out and about and to keep track of loved ones.

“What Google Latitude does is allow you to share that location with friends and family members, and likewise be able to see friends and family members’ locations,” said Steve Lee, product manager for Google Latitude. For example, a girlfriend could use it to see if her boyfriend has arrived at a restaurant and, if not, how far away he is.

To protect privacy, Google specifically requires people to sign up for the service. People can share their precise location, the city they’re in, or nothing at all.

“What we found in testing is that the most common scenario is a symmetrical arrangement, where both people are sharing with each other,” Lee said.

The software spotlights Google’s fixation with mapping and location technology. Location is an important part of navigating the real world, and Google clearly sees its geographic services as a way to establish a more personal connection with customers who today use Google chiefly for the virtual realm of the Internet. And of course money is involved, too: Google hopes its mapping technology will lead to location-based advertising revenue.

Google’s power is firmly lodged in search and search advertising, but the company is trying to expand to broader online services, too. That includes online documents and various aspects of social networking, which are much more personal services and ones that put Google into more direct competition with rivals such as Microsoft, Facebook, and Yahoo. Like using Google profiles to contact information with select contacts, using Google Latitude tells Google who’s who in your social graph.

How it works
Latitude is part of Google Maps for Mobile, the company’s mapping software for mobile phones, but also can be used through a gadget loaded onto its iGoogle customized home page. It’ll work in 27 countries at launch, Google said.

Initially, it will work on most color-screen BlackBerry phones, most phones with Windows Mobile 5.0 or later, and most Symbian-based devices such as Nokia smartphones. An update to the Google Android operating system now being distributed to the T-Mobile G1 phone also enables it, and iPhone and iPod Touch users will get the option “very soon,” Lee said.

Latitude uses Google’s technology to judge a user’s location not just by GPS satellite, but also by proximity to mobile phone towers and wireless networks.

That’s a much more automated approach than the manual “check-in” process used by Dodgeball, a service that Google decided in January to shut down.

Other competitors exist, though. BrightKite and Loopt offer mechanisms for people to find each other by mobile phone, for example. Then there’s MobiFriends, Tripit, and Dopplr.

And Google’s clearest competitor, Yahoo, offers some competition with Fire Eagle. That service doesn’t provide location information, but it does provide a mechanism to centralize people’s geographic privacy choices, in effect taking care of some of the social graph management when it comes to location information.

To use the service, you need a Google account to record who has permission to see your location. For choosing who gets to see your location, you can use contacts stored with Gmail or Picasa, Google said.

The white lie
With the service, you can hide from specific people or disappear altogether. And you can manually set a specific location if, for example, your phone can’t show it with sufficient precision or if you wish to tell someone a white lie about whether you really aren’t going to go to the candy store.

People must agree to share their location before Latitude will work.

(Credit: Google)

Google envisions two broad classes of people with whom you might want to share location information. First is a small, close-knit circle of friends and family with whom you’re willing to share your exact spot. Second is a larger group with whom you’re happy to share city-level detail, convenient for finding out when somebody’s in town but not much more.

When somebody is close, the software lets you contact the person various ways–by calling or sending an e-mail or text message, for example. It also lets you hide from that specific person.

Privacy is of course a significant concern when it comes to sharing this sort of information. If you want to use Latitude, you must specifically enable the service.

Meeting your pals at a bar is an obvious example of the software’s possibilities, but there are softer cases I see as useful, too.

Lee pointed to a case where a friend’s girlfriend, though far away in Seattle, will “virtually place herself next to him.” That sounds a little sappy for my tastes, but I can still relate. My wife is on the other side of the country right now, and it would be heart-warming to see just where. There are a lot of occasions where technology is better for maintaining relationships than it is for establishing them, and this looks like one to me.
