Lunar Mahina GM in Chocolate

Inspired by the moon and the Polynesian lunar diety, Lunar is the newest addition to Vuitton’s Mahina line. Its also the first Mahina bag to be named not after a ready-to-wear size (i.e. XS, S, M, L etc) but after the moon itself. This attractive bag in comes in a new shape, wider compared to its Mahina sisters.

Lunar is crafted from the lovely and delicate Monogram perforated Mahina leather and features gentle pleats and subtle details, it sure makes a bold yet discreet statement. Lunar offers generous capacity and has ravishing facets such as the signature Louis Vuitton press lock, a zipped closure for added security, an internal phone and patch pocket, microfiber lining and comfortable shoulder straps. Lunar is definitely a must have for women who enjoy soft bags and pure luxury.

Lunar Mahina comes in two sizes GM (10.8″ x 17.7″ x 7.9″) and PM (7.5″ x 15.4″ x 7.1″) and comes in different colors: Chocolate and Mahogany for GM and Chocolate and Cognac for PM. As seen from Louis Vuitton‘s Fall/Winter 2009 menswear show, the Amar Sunglasses is a unique overhaul to the classic aviator style which combines an innovative design and exquisite details. Amar features a removable lateral protection in the sides which forestalls dust and glare. The frame is made from acetate and brushed antiqued metal temples with Damier engraved detailing. The lenses are graduated and offers 100% UV protection. Amar is available at Louis Vuitton for approximately US$600.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Revelation Keepall 45

One of the sensational pieces from Louis Vuitton‘s Fall/Winter 2009 menswear collection, the Monogram Keepall Revelation is a stunner. The bag is distinctive with its raised Monogram pattern on soft black, grained veal leather which is inspired by scarification. Its is a permanent body modification which involves scratching, etching, or some sort of superficial cutting or incision to the skin. The practice is usually carried out as a rite of passage, common to African tribes. This eye-catching bag is a must-have for short breaks or for just toting around the city thanks to its practical size.

As mentioned above, Monogram Keepall Revelation is crafted from black, supple grained veal leather which is injected with silicone to raise and imprint the monogram (an info shared to us by reader Craig Richie). In the inside, the lining is also made from grained veal leather, but this time in rich burgundy-ish color. The bag also features an interior zipped pocket, D-ring for attaching keys, a removable and adjustable black leather shoulder strap, a luggage tag also in black leather, and brilliant silver brass hardware.

Monogram Revelation Keepall 45 measures 17.7″ x 10.6″ x 7.9″ and is available at Louis Vuitton for $4040. More pics after the jump…
