UPDATE – Merriman Beat Tila Tequila Because She Refused Sex

National Football LeagueImage via Wikipedia

According to Popcrunch.com, a spurned request to join him in group sex led to NFL player Shawne Merriman choking and battering tiny reality TV personality Tila Tequila. Yea, he’s mixed.

According to 10News.com, the fight that lead to Merriman’s arrest last weekend after Tequila walked into his bedroom she found him with two other women. After the NFL asked her to join them, Tequila stormed out and threatened to have sex with one of his friends, that’s when Merriman allegedly tossed the 4-foot-11-inch star to the ground and began violently choking her.

Merriman denies attacking his girlfriend of two months and insists he was simply trying to keep a very intoxicated Tila from driving under the influence.

Video: Cop Who Kept NFL Player from Dying Kin Speaks Out

HOUSTON - DECEMBER 28: Ryan Moats #21 of the ...Image by Getty Images via Daylife

When this story first broke it enraged me so much I couldn’t even type the words. As most of you know already, NFL player Ryan Moats, accompanied by his wife, her father and aunt, ran a red light on their way to a Dallas hospital where his wife’s mother lay dying. This heartless Dallas cop detained Moats in the parking lot — at gunpoint — for 13 minutes while his 45-year-old mother-in-law passed away inside the hospital.

Thanks to loyal member Coop for sending me the link to the story last week. WSHH has the video of the racist cop doing damage control in an effort to save his job. The cop is currently on suspension with pay.

Former Atlanta Falcons running back Jamal Anderson was arrested early Sunday morning after an off-duty police officer witnessed him sniffing cocaine in the men’s room of a Buckhead bar, Atlanta police said.

Anderson, 36, and Mark Daniel Hudson, 20, both of Duluth, were in the same stall inside the men’s room at Peachtree Tavern about 3 a.m., sniffing powder cocaine off the toilet tank, said police spokesman Otis Redmond.

Mark Daniel Hudson, 20, of Duluth, was arrested early Sunday for allegedly sniffing cocaine inside the Peachtree Tavern in Buckhead.

A tavern patron alerted an off-duty Atlanta police officer to possible illegal drug use inside the restroom, he said.

“The patron had heard what he thought was sniffing from inside the stall and told the off-duty officer,” Redmond said. “The officer went into the restroom, heard the same sniffing and peered over the stall door. He saw Jamal Anderson and Mark Hudson sniffing two lines of powdered cocaine off the back of the toilet.”

Police said they found a 1-inch square bag of cocaine and a marijuana cigarette inside Anderson’s pocket. The men were arrested without incident and booked into the Fulton County Jail for felony possession of cocaine. Anderson was also cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Both men will be held overnight pending a first appearance in Magistrate Court at 11 a.m. Monday, said jail spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan.

Redmond said the tavern could be investigated for allowing Hudson, who is underage, inside the bar.

Anderson was in attendance Nov. 16 when the Falcons honored the 1998 Super Bowl team at half time of the game against Denver.

During the 1998 season, Anderson rushed for a franchise-record 1,846 during to help power the Falcons to their only Super Bowl appearance. He celebrated his long runs and touchdown scores by doing the “Dirty Bird” dance that was created by teammate O.J. Santiago.

He suffered a knee injury that required surgery and only had two rushes the following season. Overall, he played eight seasons with the Falcons, from 1994 to 2001, before a second knee injury ended his career.

He worked as an NFL analyst for ESPN’s First Take this past season. George McNeilly, senior director of communications at ESPN, declined comment on Sunday, according to ESPN.com.
