Left Eye was honored and deeply loved by family, fans and friends during her posthumous CD Eye Legacy, release party at Ten Pin Alley in Atlanta. The new album is a collection of unreleased tracks exploring everything from passion to pain. The energetic rapper and group member of T.L.C. known for her introspective views on life allows fans to experience her heartaches and triumph on the Bobby Valentino assisted, “In the Life”. Lisa raps about her troublesome past, where she sold drugs to survive and her brief bout with homelessness.
On “Let It All Out” Left Eye address the friction within the group without too much rancor. In the end, she eloquently lays to rest any disagreement that may have existed when she raps, “Know that we’re still all that that we live and we learn/come through every situation crossing bridges we burn/And we still the biggest thing the industry every seen/That’s T-L-C, the unstoppable team,”
Notable collaborations include group members T-Boz and Chilli, Lil Mama, Free (106 & Park) and Chamillionaire.
The event doubled as a charity event for The Lisa Left Eye Lopez Foundation hosted by New Edition member Ronnie Devoe. Several autograph belongings of Left Eye, were auction off in addition to an autograph picture of Barack Obama attached with a certificate of authenicity and a guitar belonging to Rolling Stone legend Mick Jagger.
